Ephesians 6:1-4 | Christian Family

It’s been called “the crown and climax of Paul’s theology” and “the divinest composition of man.” It was the favorite book of reformer John Calvin, and it was widely circulated in the early church. All this for good reason: The book of Ephesians deepens our understanding of the gospel by extolling the unsearchable riches of Christ. It magnifies the significance of the church in the eternal purposes of God. It emphasizes the glory of God’s grace in reconciling sinners to himself and to each other. And it highlights the distinctness of the Christian life. Yet above all, the book of Ephesians is so beloved because it shows how Jesus is absolutely at the center of everything, proclaiming all of Christ in all of life for all the world.
